Where can you find the OEM number on an Opel?
The OEM number is often printed on the part itself, on a label, moulded into plastic or listed in technical data.
The OEM number on an Opel is usually located directly on the original part. It can be printed on a label, moulded into plastic, engraved or shown on a small metal plate. The location depends on the type of part.
Body and lighting parts
On headlights, rear lights, mirrors, handles, grilles and bumpers, the reference is often on the back of the part, near mounts or connectors. You may see both a supplier reference and an Opel reference. Both can help, but the OEM number is usually the most precise.
Mechanical parts
On an engine, gearbox, alternator, starter motor or air-conditioning compressor, the reference is often on a label or plate. Dirt, oil or corrosion can hide it, so clean the area carefully before taking a photo.
Electronic modules
Comfort modules, ECUs, heater controls and sensors often carry several numbers. Compare the main reference, connector type, number of pins and sometimes the software version.
If the number is unreadable
Search by model, year, engine and part name, or ask for help via WhatsApp. A clear photo of the part and vehicle details make the compatibility check faster.
