How do we pack engines and gearboxes?
Engines and gearboxes require specific packaging: stabilisation, protection, pallet shipping and adapted transport.
An engine or gearbox cannot be shipped like a standard parcel. These parts are heavy, sensitive to shocks and must remain stable during transport.
Stabilising the part
The first priority is preventing movement. An engine or gearbox is placed on a suitable pallet or support and secured.
Protecting against shocks
Sensitive areas such as sensors, connectors, housings and protruding parts are protected as much as possible with suitable material.
Preparing transport
Depending on weight, volume and destination, pallet shipping or special delivery may be required. That is why shipping can sometimes be quoted on request.
Check on delivery
On delivery, inspect the visible condition of the pallet or package before signing. Report damage immediately and take photos.
